Fifth day: Stratford-upon-Avon - Chester - Liverpool

We went from Bristol to Stratfor-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's city. I found it was one of the most beautiful places we visit in our holidays. We could see Shakespeare's birthplace and grave and... Shakespeare alive... A lovely Christmas shop and a sweet shop I will talk to you in another post. We also ate there in a Subway.

In the afternoon we went to Chester where we could see the second most photographed clock in England. As always... shops close so early and I only had time to buy this nice case for my phone. What do you think about it?

After visiting Chester we went to our hotel in Liverpool. If you have heard about the incidents around England in the earliest August I have to tell you that in Liverpool we had some trouble when we arrived that the police advice us to stay in the hotel during the night.

Fortunately, we had time to go to The Cavern Club where Beatles started to play. I didn't like it a lot though because it was too small and there were a lot of people.

Another day I'll do a review about our hotel in Liverpool: the worst hotel I've never been too.

Fourth day: Stonehenge - Salisbury - Bath - Bristol

I was happy that this day arrived because I studied Stonehenge and Bath in my Touristic Destinations class at university.
So we started our day going from London to Stonehenge by bus as we did all the days of the tour.
Stonehenge was bigger than I imagined, but I thought you were nearer the stones that what you really can be. What is good about this tourist attraction is the fact that you have an audio tour that explains you a lot of interesting things related to the monument while you visit it.

I bought this ring as a souvenir! I found it curious!

After the visit we went to Salisbury where we visited the cathedral and I went to Marks&Spencer and bought a pair of fake Uggs because I was cold. Then we went to eat outside the city in Grasmere House.

In the afternoon was Bath turn which I really love. Bath is a World Heritage city and it was founded by the Romans as a spa complex but was with the Georgian era when it became famous for its characteristic stone. I highly reccomend you to visit this city. More info
There you can also find The Jane Austen Centre.

And although we spent the night in Bristol, it was a shame we didn't have time to visit the city because we had to have dinner at the hotel too early and leave the day after. But we could see the Avon river and a castle.

This time we stayed in Novotel Bristol Centre Hotel and it was like the one in London. Everything was correct and this time we had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.
All the Novotels in which we stayed had Macs with free Internet for guests. That's what I was doing while waiting for my turn... does this kind of photo sound you?
